Theodore Eliades

Graduated from the School of Dentistry, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, and completed his Orthodontic residency atthe Ohio State University with Z.Davidovitch. He earned a Master of Science degree from the Ohio State with W.A. Brantley, a doctorate in medical sciences from the University of Athens, a PhDin Biomaterials with D.C. Watts, and a Doctor of Science (DSc) degree-the first one awarded to an orthodontist in the UK-bothfrom the University of Manchester.
He has also received certificates in human resources management (Univ. of Athens), leadership management, cultural integration and conflict management (NLP) and completed course work in Management (Swiss Management Center).
He has published 290 papers and 60 chapters, which have received 14,000 citations and an hindex of 65 (google scholar) and edited 13 textbooks some translated into 5 languages. He is an elected Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, and the first dentist who was awarded the Fellowship grade of membership from both ,the Royal Society of Chemistry, and the Institute of Physics (UK); he was also awarded the FDS of the RSCEd without examination.
Prof. Eliades has been Visiting Professor at King’s College London (2015-2018), and he is currently Editor in Chief of the Korean Journal of Orthodontics.
He has been rated as the top expert in Orthodontics worldwide by the experts cape network for the decade 2012-2022 and is listed in the top 2% of most cited scientists across all scientific fields. His expertise is in the area of clinical aspects of materials application and treatment efficiency, biological properties of materials, polymer applications in Orthodontics (aligners, elastomers, bonding), dental hard tissues and bonding, retrieval analysis of biomedical materials and mechanics of materials and tissues.
