Dr. Filippo Fontana graduated summa cum laude in Dentistry and Dental Prosthodontics at the University of Milan, where he also specialized in Dental Surgery.
In 2017 he was awarded the Italian National Scientific Habilitation (ASN) as Associate Professor. In 2021 he joined the School of Specialization in Oral Surgery of the University of Milan, where he was Associate Professor till 2016. From 2000 to 2017 he was an attending physician at the Department of Implantology of the Cà Grande Foundation Dental Clinic directed by Prof. Carlo Maiorana. From September 2002 to June 2003, he was Clinical Assistant and Researcher at the Department of Oral Medicine, Infection and Immunity of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
He is an active member of the Italian Academy of Osseointegration (IAO) and Clinical and Research Consultant at the Institute for Dental Research and Education (IDRE) directed by Prof. Massimo Simion. Author of national and international publications, he focuses his clinical activity on Periodontology and Implantology, with particular attention to Bone Regeneration.
